Will new rollers fix a door that scrapes loudly?
Only if the track is still in good condition. Once a roller has broken through and the housing has been riding on bare aluminum, the track has a groove worn in it, and new rollers dropped onto that groove will fail quickly. That is when we cap the track.
Is there anything I can do to make my sliding door last longer?
Vacuum the track rather than sweeping it, keep silicone rather than oil-based lubricant on the running surface, and check that the weep holes at the bottom of the sill are open. Oil-based products in York collect dust and grit and turn into grinding paste.
Why does my sliding door work fine in winter and stick in summer?
That is a moisture and expansion problem, and it is common across Sumter County. Humid months swell wood and vinyl components and expand the frame slightly, which is enough to close up clearance that was already marginal because of worn rollers.
Do you work on the big multi-panel and stacking patio doors?
